The Extreme Budo Federation was founded by Sensei Joseph Slonski and Thomas Harless (Dan). They founded the Extreme Budo Federation because they did not like the direction contemporary Martial Arts is going in. They are both old school Karateka’s with about 100 years’ experience between the two of them. They wanted the Extreme Budo Federation to have a strong foundation, so they recruited some of the best Martial Artists from around the United States to be Board Members and Officers.

The founders of the Extreme Budo Federation used the Mastermind concept to bring in each Board Member and each Officer. Everyone had to agree on the next Martial Artist brought into the Extreme Budo Federation. You can click on the BIOS button and read each board member’s and each office's Biography. By taking this approach the Extreme Budo Federation has an extremely strong foundation. The Extreme Budo Federation Board Members and Officers all have decades of Martial Arts experience.

The founders of the Extreme Budo Federation wanted Martial Artist from different styles as Board Members and Officers. Several of the Board Members had reached the highest possible ranks in their styles before becoming Board Members of the Extreme Budo Federation. There is a mixture of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean Masters. Several of our Board members are in The Martial Arts Hall of Fame. It is a mixture of the best of the best.
